1. Toy Dogs

  • Weight: Under 7 lbs (3 kg)

  • Height: Usually under 10 inches (25 cm)

  • Characteristics: Small, portable, great for apartments, often lap dogs

  • Examples: Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier

2. Small Dogs

  • Weight: 7–20 lbs (3–9 kg)

  • Height: 10–15 inches (25–38 cm)

  • Characteristics: Easy to carry, often energetic, good for small homes

  • Examples: French Bulldog, Shih Tzu, Jack Russell Terrier

3. Medium Dogs

  • Weight: 21–60 lbs (9–27 kg)

  • Height: 15–22 inches (38–56 cm)

  • Characteristics: Balanced size, versatile for families, active and playful

  • Examples: Beagle, Border Collie, Bulldog, Cocker Spaniel

4. Large Dogs
